The Ukrainian Interior Ministry appealed to the Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office with a request for assistance in organizing the ministry's employees' visit to Baku to investigate the information on illegal transplantation of internal organs, First Deputy General Prosecutor Rustam Usubov said.
The Azerbaijani Interior Ministry and General Prosecutor's Office control the issue of illegal transplantation of organs, he said.
Earlier, mass media published information about health facilities in Azerbaijan, which allegedly carry out "black transplantation" of human organs in cooperation with the citizens of Ukraine and Israel.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani General Prosecutor's Office tasked its international department to contact with the relevant structures of the Ukrainian General Prosecutor's Office to clarify the issue.
