Azerbaijan, Baku, Nov 12 /Trend M. Aliyev/

There are some so called media outlets in Azerbaijan representing themselves as independent, but working by order of biased political organizations and spreading misinformation about the performance of employees, which are part of the Interior Ministry, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan Orudj Zalov said at the workshop Security of journalists during public events.

He noted that these so-called media insult the honor and dignity of the police, violating Article 10 of the Law On mass media.

"At the same time, they refuse to give rebuttals, violating Articles 44 and 45 of this law," Zalov said.

He added that there are enough media outlets, which write about real cooperation of journalists and police.

Ministry regularly holds events in Baku and regions on cooperation between journalists and the police. Recently such events were held in Guba, Sheki, and soon they will be held in Lankaran and Ganja, he said.

Zalov recommended journalists to always respect their professional code.
