BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 1. Azerbaijan exported $11.8 million worth of hazelnuts to the world market in January 2023, the Center for Economic Reforms Analysis and Communication of Azerbaijan told Trend.
According to the Center, the value of hazelnut exports declined by $4.1 million or 25.79 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
In 2022, Azerbaijan exported $106.3 million of hazelnuts to the world market, which was $2.5 million or 2.3 percent less than in 2021.
Furthermore, hazelnuts of $12.7 million were exported in December 2022, decreasing by $1 million or 7.3 percent against the same month of 2021.
The total value of Azerbaijan’s exports comprised $1.9 billion in January 2023, out of which $284.5 million accounted for the share of non-oil exports. This figure was 22.6 percent more compared to January 2022.
