In 2008 Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) of Azerbaijan implemented foreign-trade operations in the sum of $104 million with 31 countries, the NAR permanent Baku Office reported.
A total of 38.8 percent or $40.2 million in the trade turnover accounts for export, and $ 63.4 million or 61.2 percent for import.
In 2008 the trading partners of NAR became Turkey, Iran, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Germany, Georgia, Korea, Kazakhstan, France, U.S., United Arab Emirates, Cuba, India, Pakistan, Japan, Austria, Hungary, UK, Sweden, Switzerland and Netherlands.
