Board of IDB directors allocates funds to finance new projects

Board of directors of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) allocated $348.15 million to finance new projects and to render technical aid to members-countries and Muslim communities of nations which are not members of the bank, IDB said.

Approved projects are distributed between six members-states, including Kazakhstan, Yemen, Sudan, Lebanon, Indonesia and Egypt. Four grants are also allocated for Somali and three Muslim communities in nations which are not members of the bank - Kenya, India and Tanzania.

Thus, $186 million of total sum allocated to finance projects will be put to a road project in Kazakhstan. It was allocated $21.25 million to finance projects in Yemen, Sudan - $19.50 million, Lebanon - $15.50 million, Egypt - $10.17 million, Indonesia - $83 million.
