Azerbaijan's Franchising Association (AFA) plans to become member of the European Franchise Federation and World Franchise Council till end of the year, association chairman Elshan Musayev said.
"We have entered into a contract with the Greek, Baltic and Turkish franchise associations for the last two years," Musayev said. "Our main task is to enter the European Franchise Federation and the World Franchise Council by end of the year."
He said after this association will engage in establishing franchise companies on the domestic market.
"Many franchise companies have addressed us and said they are willing to master franchise conception. I think it will be realized soon," he said.
Musayev said Azerbaijani restaurants have the opportunity to create a franchise network and to integrate into European markets and as an example he cited the Italian restaurants, which significantly fill up the budget.
AFA began its activities in 2007. It aims to establish Azerbaijani franchise companies.
