Azerbaijani SW Helicopter Services Ltd will receive two S-92 helicopters made by the U.S air corporation Sikorsky in the second half of 2010, Ltd general director Rovshan Aliyev said.
"These helicopters are designed for operations on the oil (offshore) platforms. These helicopters are planned to be put into operation for the third or fourth quarter of this year", Aliyev said.
According to him, earlier İnternational Handling Company Limited ordered these helicopters. It is the founder of "SW Helicopter Services".
"SW Helicopter Services" Ltd and "BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Limited" began to work together to provide aviation services from February 1, 2010. The contract was concluded in this regards.
Currently, "SW Helicopter Services" Ltd is a general contractor of BP company. In this regard, the relevant contracts were signed between BP company and the Canadian company "CHC Global Operations Canada Inc."
"SW Helicopter Services" Ltd is the biggest airline operating in the area of small aircraft in Azerbaijan. This company was registered as a legal entity on March 18, 2008. It has a license and a certificate of operation issued by the State Civil Aviation Administration of Azerbaijan.
