It is vital for Bulgaria to confirm the already existing strong political relations with Azerbaijan and develop the economic cooperation in terms of Bulgarian construction companies' participation in Azerbaijani large construction projects, Bulgarian Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Lilyana Pavlova said after a joint business forum today.
"Bulgarian construction companies are interested in participating in Azerbaijani infrastructure projects," she said. "We are interested in cooperation and attracting investments from Azerbaijan in the sphere of construction of roads and railways, water supply, as well as the energy and gas supply."
She said that the memorandums of intentions signed between the Azerbaijani and Bulgarian construction companies today will allow conducting the joint construction in Bulgaria, Azerbaijan and third countries.
Azerbaijani Deputy Economic Development Niyazi Safarov told media that trade and economic cooperation with Bulgaria is important for Azerbaijan, given the economy development, Azerbaijan's export and investment opportunities.
