Business regulation concept to be submitted to Kazakh government in August

The business regulation concept for the period up to 2020 will be submitted to the Kazakh government in August 2013, Deputy Regional Development Minister Serik Nokin said at the government meeting on Monday, the prime minister' press-service reported.

According to Nokin, the analysis of the statistics data provided by the Committee for Legal Statistics and Special Records of the General Prosecutor's Office showed a decrease in the total number of inspections, while scheduled inspections which are the greatest burden on business has become more frequent. Thus the "Law on State Control and Supervision in Kazakhstan" should be changed.

Serik Nokin also gave a number of recommendations to eliminate the corruption, reduce the budget expenditures, the burden on business and improve the control efficiency of the state agencies.

In particular he proposed to introduce a new form of departmental reporting of the state agencies, to automate the risk management system, to optimize the reasons of unscheduled inspections, etc.

On January 23 the Kazakh President ordered to take measures to improve the risk management systems using by the regulatory bodies to optimize and reduce the number of inspections of small and medium-sized businesses.
