Kazakhstan, Astana, September 16 / Trend D.Mukhtarov/

Kazakhstan plans to establish its own production of elevators, the Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Nurlan Sauranbayev told Trend.

"It is a small project worth $60 million that we intend to implement together with the Chinese Company Shenyang Yuanda Enterprise Group which provides elevator equipment to 30 per cent of the world market, he said.

The Vice Minister also said that this company already has experience of working in Kazakhstan.

"The company is also engaged in manufacturing glass facade. The residential complex on the left bank of the capital Northern Lights, famous among the residents of Astana, was built using the glass facade of the company. That is why the Shenyang Yuanda Enterprise Group decided to build a new production factory in Kazakhstan," Sauranbayev said.

The Yuanda Enterprise Group is a large multinational corporation founded in 1993. The company's activities include: the development, design and installation of facade cladding systems and the production of elevators, electric motors and equipment for the protection of the environment. Its main production base is located in the city of Shenyang.

As reported earlier, Chairman of the Board of Samruk-Kazyna Fund Umirzak Shukeyev and chairman of the board of directors of the corporation CITIC Chang Zhenming signed an agreement to implement the so-called 'investment map', which includes joint projects with China in Kazakhstan up till 2020 worth $22 billion.
