Uzbekistan exports amounts to $8.4 B

The export volume of Uzbekistan in January-June 2019 amounted to $8.43 billion (a growth by 27 percent compared to the same period last year), Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

The share of goods in the composition of exports reached 81.5 percent, of which energy carriers and petroleum products comprised 16.8 percent, food products - 9.4 percent, textiles and textile products - 9.1 percent, nonferrous metals and products from them - 5, 8 percent, and ferrous metals and products from them - 1.7 percent.

Exports excluding gold increased by 24.7 percent, reaching $ 6.34 billion.

Analysis of the dynamics of exports of goods and services showed that in January-June 2019, compared with the corresponding period of 2018, the volume of exports of goods increased by $1.65 billion and amounted to $6.87 billion. Exports of services reached $1.56 billion, which is 18.5 percent of the total export volume. Compared to the same period last year, it increased by 10.2 percent.

The largest share of exports is taken by natural gas (the share in the total export volume is 18.7 percent), textiles (11.2 percent), copper and products from it (5.1 percent), vegetables (4.5 percent), fruits and berries (3.4 percent).

The main partners in the export of goods and services in the foreign trade were China (19 percent of total exports), Russia (13.6 percent), Kazakhstan (8.1 percent), Turkey (6.8 percent), Kyrgyzstan (4.5 percent), Afghanistan (3.1 percent) and Tajikistan (1.7 percent).

The composition of the exported goods to these countries includes a group of energy carriers and petroleum products, chemical products and products from it, and food products.

In January-June 2019, exports of textile products amounted to $ 771.5 million, increasing by 18.3 percent compared to the same period of 2018 and comprising 9.1 percent of total exports.

The largest share of textile exports goes to Russia ($ 300.3 million), China ($ 211.8 million), and Turkey ($ 79.2 million).
