The number of money transfers via payment systems of Kazakhstan’s National Bank amounted to 34.3 million transfers worth 648.2 trillion tenge ($1.6 trillion) which is 3.2 percent less compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the data of National Bank of Kazakhstan.
Average daily number of transfers was 166,500 transfers worth 3.2 trillion tenge ($8.2 billion).
Number of transfers with using payment cards of Kazakhstan issuers was 1.2 billion transfers worth 24.1 trillion tenge ($62.3 billion) during 10 months of 2019, which is 94.1 percent more in volume and 52 percent more in value compared to the same period of 2018.
In turn, share of non-cash payments in total volume of transfers using payments cards of Kazakh issuers was 74.2 percent in volume (63.9 percent in 2018) and 43.9 percent in value (30.8 percent in 2018).
Furthermore, total number of issues and distributed payment cards amounted to 31.2 million cards as of November 1, 2019.
Total number of transactions sent via international payment systems was 2.4 million transfers worth 577 billion tenge ($1.4 billion) during 10 months. Increase of the value of transfers was 2.7 percent compared to the same period of last year.
Of the total value of transfers sent via international payment systems, 2.2 million transfers (92 percent of total volume) worth 540.4 billion tenge ($1.3 billion) were sent from Kazakhstan to the countries.
Some 200,000 transfers worth 36.6 billion tenge ($94.7 million) account for internal transfers, and 1.4 million transfers worth 290.2 billion tenge ($751 million) account for transfers from other countries to Kazakhstan.
