Turkmenistan's Rysgal ojagy company has constructed a modern greenhouses complex in country's Gokdepe district of Ahal region, Trend reports with reference to Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
Total land area of the complex is 30 hectares. The tomatoes were already planted on an area of 10 hectares.
For the most part, tomatoes of elite varieties, which are characterized by early maturity, high productivity and excellent taste, will be cultivated at the complex. Annual cultivation estimate is 2,800-3,000 tons of high-quality, environmentally friendly product, which is very popular at both the local market and abroad.
The complex was equipped with equipment from the Netherlands, Iceland, Denmark, Turkey. Bees will be used for pollination.
Material, which are of high isolation qualities were used in the construction of the complex. Furthermore, there are refrigeration units installed, which will provide for crop preservation.
Thus, volume of tomatoes' export from Turkmenistan exceeded 15,000 tons in November 2019. The products of Turkmen vegetable producers is in demand in Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan and UAE.
