BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 26
By Matanat Nasibova - Trend:
Azerbaijan’s Lankaran Canning Factory, a producer of a wide range of fruit juices and compotes, operating in the Azerbaijani Lankaran district, increased production volumes, a source in the factory told Trend.
From the beginning of 2019, the enterprise increased production by 10-12 percent, compared to the last year, the source said.
“Presently, the factory produces up to 40,000-45,000 bottles of compotes daily. We are going to bring this figure up to over 50,000 bottles daily. Currently, the plant’s products are sold domestically and supplied to the neighboring countries,” the source in the factory said.
“The largest volume is carried out to the Russian market, although we also envisage access to the markets of other post-Soviet countries. We also see export potential to the Arabian countries. We are negotiating with foreign partners in Dubai, so it is likely that supplies to this market will begin next year,” the source said.
Wholesale prices for the export products of the factory are quite reasonable, since foreign importers themselves cover transport and customs expenses, the source said.
The retail price of compotes ranges 1.4 -1.8 manats ($0.82-$1.05) within the country.
The products of the factory have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents.
The Italian equipment is used at the factory.
