Iran's National Development Fund allocated 150 million euros for water projects, Khosrov Shahbazi, head of Iran's Forests, Rangelands and Watershed Management Organization, said.
Shahbazi made the remark at the event related to the implementation of 67 water projects in Iran’s south-eastern Kerman province, Trend reports referring to the Iranian Ministry of Agriculture.
“Moreover, 100 million euros were allocated to prevent dust storms,” the head of the organization added. “One of the tasks of the Iranian Ministry of Agriculture is to manage natural resources and 85 percent of the country’s territory accounts for these resources.”
“By the end of the year (March 21, 2020), 499 projects worth 522 billion rials (about $12.4 million) will be implemented,” Shahbazi said.
As a result of commissioning 67 projects in Kerman province, 2,045 hectares of land have been supplied with water. At the same time, a greenhouse worth seven billion rials (about $166,000) was created in the area covering 4,000 square meters in Sirjan county of the province.
