Iran's new year (begins March 20, 2020) budget plan envisages increased wages and financial aid to the agriculture sector, member of Parliament's budget integration committee Ali Akbari told Trend.
"The work of the committee is practically finished. The budget plan was once sent to the Guardian Council and rejected, after implementing some of the necessary changes by the committee's members at an online meeting the Guardian Council has officially approved the budget plan," he said.
"The assigned financial sources in the insurance fund for agriculture products have been increased by 50 percent in the new budget plan," he added.
"The National Development Fund has also allocated budget for the irrigation systems that has limited support," he said.
"A total of €100 million has been assigned to this sector by the National Development Fund," he added.
Akbari noted that increasing salaries was one of the main debates in the budget plan and based on the bill, all the wages that are less than 20,800 million rials (about $600) will increase from 50 to 80 percent," he said.
