More than 1,180 production enterprises were restored in Iran's industrial parks last year (from March 21, 2019 to March 20, 2020), Deputy Chairman of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO) Asghar Mosaheb said, Trend reports citing Shata news agency.

According to Mosaheb, with the resumption of these enterprises, more than 21.6 thousand people were employed.

Mosaheb added that financial insecurity, lack of market development, technology transfer and investments as well as disagreements between partners are among the main problems of these enterprises.

About 44,900 manufacturing enterprises were registered in 1,800 industrial parks in Iran from March 21 to the end of December 2019. About 10.3 thousand enterprises have been suspended. More than 8,000 enterprises (77 percent) ceased operations due to low liquidity, and 1,670 enterprises (16 percent) due to lack of market opportunities.
