Turkmenistan ranked third in Iran’s trade turnover with the Caspian littoral states during the four months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through July 22, 2021), Spokesman for the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Rouhollah Latifi told Trend.
According to Latifi, while the trade turnover between Iran and Turkmenistan over the reporting period amounted to about 552,000 tons worth about $110 million.
The spokesman added that Iran exported 532,000 tons of goods worth 96 million to Turkmenistan in the 4 months.
“Moreover, Iran imported 19,000 tons of goods worth $13 million from Turkmenistan within the mentioned period,” he said.
The official noted that Iran's trade turnover with the Caspian littoral states amounted to 2.18 million tons worth about $948 million within the first four months of the current Iranian year. Thus, Iran exported 1.3 million tons of goods worth $465 million to the Caspian littoral states, while imported 874,000 tons of goods worth $482 million.
