The member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) exported 23,700 tons of wheat worth $5.8 million to Turkmenistan from January through July 2021, Trend reports via the Eurasian Economic Commission.
Wheat exports in quantitative terms decreased by 48.6 percent, and in value terms - by 42.7 percent compared to the same period of 2020.
According to the commission, 97 percent of wheat exports to Turkmenistan accounted for Kazakhstan – 23,030 tons, and 3 percent – for Russia – 712.5 tons.
During the reporting period, exports from the EAEU countries amounted to $275.5 billion, which is 34.4 percent more than from January through July 2020.
The EAEU member states are Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and Armenia.
