The iron ore concentrate production of 10 major Iranian companies increased by 4 percent, during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through November 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).
According to the report, these companies produced about 34.4 million tons of iron ore concentrate over 8 months. The figure stood at 33.1 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
"The Golgohar Mining and Industrial Company produced 11.2 million tons of iron ore concentrate, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company – 8.18 million tons, Middle East Mines Industries Development Holding Company (MIDHCO) – 3.94 million tons, Gohar Zamin Iron Ore Company – 3.17 million tons, Central Iron Ore Company of Iran – 2.67 million tons," the report said.
In addition, Opal Parsian Sangan Industrial and Mining Company produced 1.57 million tons of iron ore concentrate, Sanabad Inclusive Development Industrial and Mining Company – 1.57 million tons, Sangan Mining Industries Company – 922,000 tons, Sabanour Mining and Industrial Development Company – 836,000 tons, and Jalalabad Iron Ore Complex – 301,000 tons within the mentioned period.
According to the report, these companies transported 10.9 million tons of iron ore concentrate to the relevant manufacturing companies in 8 months, which is a decrease of 8 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the figure was 11.9 million tons in the same period last Iranian year.
Furthermore, the 10 companies produced 1.06 million tons of iron ore pellets within eight months, which is an increase of 27 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 838,000 tons of iron ore pellets were produced by these companies, in the same period last Iranian year.
These companies transported 1.72 million tons of iron ore pellets to the relevant manufacturing companies in 8 months, which is an increase of 55 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 1.1 million tons.
