Chevrolet launches new 2007 Aveo

(autoinsidernews) - General Motors officially launched the 2007 Chevrolet Aveo for the U.S. market today. The new Aveo features an all-new exterior that is longer, taller wider and better looking than the outgoing version, reports Trend.

The Chevrolet Aveo is offered in two trim levels, LS ($12,395 base) and the more dressed-up LT ($13,925 base). Both models are powered by the 1.6L Ecotec delivering 103-hp and 107 lb.-ft, of torque. With the 5-speed manual the Aveo has an EPA rating of 27 mpg city/37 mpg hwy and 26/34 with the 4-speed automatic.

The taller body opens up more interior room improving comfort for tall passengers. The dash layout is improved with logical controls and gauge cluster. The stereo system even includes an auxiliary input jack for an MP3 player.

With an improved suspension, the Aveo should have a better ride than the outgoing car.
