Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan has reported that the autumn and spring harvest has been completed on 96% or 671,000 hectares of a total 701,000 hectares of area. Total production of grains in the country made up 1.7mln t. The average harvest made up 26.4% per hectare. In 2006 the figure made up 1.8mln t on 25.7 hectares.
The harvest in lowlands of Azerbaijan was completed, while in the mountain regions it is still underway.
The forecast for grains production, including corn, is for 2mln t.
