Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 March / Trend / In Feb 2008, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) (excluding joint ventures and operating companies) drilled a total of 17,870m, while in February 2007 the drilling comprised 15,000m, SOCAR reported.
Production drilling totalled 17,290m in February, but in February 2007 it was only 14,507m. Exploration drilling amounted to 580m, while in the same period of 2007 it accounted for 442m.
A total of 35,114m was drilled in January and February, with 33,782m of them production and 1,332m of exploration drilling.
