The Azerbaijani Industry and Energy Ministry will prepare regulations for a transitional period to use new legal regulations in the field of gas supply and electric power, head of the legal department of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Industry and Energy Ibrahim Agayev said today.
In particular, the laws on "Gas Supply" and "Electric Power Industry", as well as the Code on Gas Supply and Grid Code were prepared as part of an effort to bring the legislative base into line with EU requirements.
New normative documents envisage dividing the roles of structures in energy extraction, distributing and sales.
