Cambodia’s Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy Suy Sem called the Azerbaijani companies, specialized in the oil sphere, to take part in the development of the country’s oil fields.
The minister made the remarks during his meeting with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Cambodia (with a residence in Vietnam) Anar Imanov, the Azerbaijani embassy told Trend.
Suy Sem said that such cooperation can be beneficial for both countries.
During the meeting, Anar Imanov noted the importance of the visit of Cambodian prime minister to Azerbaijan in April 2014 in terms of the development of cooperation between the two countries. He also noted the great potential for the two countries’ cooperation.
The ambassador also noted the importance of implementation of agreements achieved during the visit, in particular, in the energy sphere.
The Cambodian prime minister, during the negotiations with the Azerbaijani side as part of his visit to Baku, expressed his country’s interest in attracting Azerbaijani investments and establishment of reliable commercial cooperation.
The prime minister also spoke about the importance to expand the cooperation between the two countries within international organizations.
