Trend:

Turkmenistan has started upgrading Korpeje gas compressor station in its Balkan region, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenportal Informational Portal.

The Russian KER-holding company (in Russia’s Tatarstan) is carrying out the overhaul of this gas compressor station under a contract with Turkmennebit State Concern.

Commissioning tests of the power turbine and gas generator are underway. Previously, there was a major repair of four power turbines and three gas generators.

KER-Holding company won an international tender held by Turkmengas State Concern for the provision of services for the overhaul of 11 gas turbine engines of the NK-12ST and NK-14ST brands.

The Russian Kuznetsov Joint-Stock Company produces this gas turbine equipment, which is the part of the United Engine Corporation.

One NK-12ST gas turbine engine was sent to Turkmenistan from Tatarstan in March. This gas turbine engine was overhauled at no cost over the contract.

This industrial system was commissioned in 2005. Equipped with MAN Diesel & Turbo (Germany) gas turbine units, it has a capacity of 4 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

Industrial development of Korpenje oil storerooms began in the summer of 1995. The value of the field has grown significantly after the completion of the Turkmen - Iranian Korpede-Kurt-kui gas pipeline. The national Iranian Oil Engineering and Construction Company was the general contractor for this $195 million project.
