Iran records increase in liquidity

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. The liquidity in Iran increased by 39.7 percent at end of the 11th month of the last Iranian year (February 19, 2022), compared to the end of the same month preceding Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI).

According to the statistics, the liquidity in Iran amounted to 46.2 quadrillion rials (about $1.1 trillion) at the end of the 11th month.

"Meanwhile, in the same period preceding Iranian year, this figure stood at 33 quadrillion rials (about $788 billion)," the statistics said.

Furthermore, the share of money in liquidity was 9.16 quadrillion rials (about $218 billion) at the end of the 11th month. This is an increase of 40.5 percent, compared to the same period preceding Iranian year. Thus, the share of money in liquidity amounted to 6.52 quadrillion rials (about $155 billion) in the same period preceding Iranian year.

According to the statistics, the share of near-money in liquidity was 37 quadrillion rials (about $883 billion) within the mentioned period. This is an increase of 39.5 percent, compared to the same period preceding Iranian year.

So, the share of near-money in liquidity amounted to 26.6 quadrillion rials (about $633 billion) in the same period preceding Iranian year.
