Turkmenistan Airlines (Turkmenhowayollary) has launched a section for online bookings of air tickets for international flights on its website, Trend reports referring to the company.
It was reported earlier that Visa and Mastercard credit cards will be accepted for payment, as well as the Altyn Asyr national payment system, whose customers will also be able to buy tickets via Internet banking.
Representative offices of the airline are opened in 11 largest cities of Asia and Europe. Flights to Moscow, St. Petersburg, Bangkok, Delhi, Amritsar, Beijing, London, Birmingham, Dubai, Istanbul and Almaty are especially popular. The European flights are not yet operational, as work is underway to meet the relevant requirements put forward by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
In the period up to 2020, the modernization of the air park will allow opening flights from Ashgabat to Jeddah, Medina, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Hanoi, Vienna, Sofia, Budapest, New York, and Toronto. It is planned to open air traffic to Madrid, Jakarta, and Muscat in the period 2021-2030.
