Former chief of the Kazakh Presidential Security Service Anuar Sadykulov has been appointed as head of special unit "Arystan" of the National Security Committee, the committee’s website reported on Thursday.

Former chief of the Kazakh Presidential Security Service Anuar Sadykulov has been appointed as head of special unit "Arystan" of the National Security Committee, the committee's website reported on Thursday.

"Chairman of the National Security Committee introduced Major General Anuar Sadykulov Toleukhanovich to the leadership and personnel of "Arystan" Service," the report says.

The "Arystan" Service is a mobile rapid response unit, and the basic principle of its use is holding special operations, carried out by the special unit from its operation bases in order to locate terrorist activities throughout the country.
