BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 24. Trade turnover between Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye significantly increased from January through June 2022, Trend reports referring to the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the committee, Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with Türkiye in the first half of 2022 reached $292.4 million, which is an increase of 61.6 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2021 ($180.9 million).
Kyrgyzstan's exports to Türkiye in the reporting period amounted to $72.3 million, which is more than a twofold increase compared to the same period of last year ($34.9 million).
During the reporting period, Kyrgyzstan mainly exported to Türkiye: oil and petroleum products in the amount of $26 million, cotton ($22.5 million), vegetables and beans ($7.4 million), lead ($4.5 million), fruits and nuts ($2.8 million)
Meanwhile, Turkish exports to Kyrgyzstan from January through June 2022 totaled $220.1 million, which is an increase of 50.7 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2021 ($146 million).
