BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 31. Construction of the new railway has started in Kyrgyzstan, said President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov during his speech on the occasion of the celebration of Independence Day, Trend reports via press service of Kyrgyz President.
According to him, Kyrgyz Temir Zholu (Kyrgyzstan Railways) has started the implementation of the project for the construction of the Balykchy-Kochkor-Kara-Keche railway.
"Construction of the new railway will pave the way for tackling a number of tasks, including development of industrial enterprises, creation of favorable conditions for economic recovery, improvement of transport links between regions," Japarov said.
Remarkably, the implementation of this rail project will be financed from the state budget of Kyrgyzstan.
