The regulation on foreign exchange transactions with individuals in commercial banks has been approved upon the resolution of the board of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, according to the country’s www.norma.uz portal.

To buy foreign currency, individuals and individual entrepreneurs should apply to the currency conversion department of the bank with an identity card.

Foreign currency is exchanged through withdrawing the national currency from the bank card of an individual or a settlement account of an individual entrepreneur at the foreign currency selling rate on the day of transaction.

To sell foreign currency from international credit card, individuals and individual entrepreneurs can apply to any currency conversion department of a commercial bank, by showing an identity card.

Foreign currency is exchanged at the exchange rate on the day of the transaction by entering data into the electronic system. In this case, the amount of the transaction can fully or partially cover the amount of currency on the international credit card.

Individuals are entitled to exchange foreign currency from the international credit card for cash in soums at currency exchange offices.
