Uzbekneftegaz to lay new gas pipeline from Western Nizhny Surgil field

BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 3. Uzbekneftegaz JSC will lay a new gas pipeline with a length of 10 km and a diameter of 426x9 mm from the Western Nizhny Surgil field (country’s Republic of Karakalpakstan), Trend reports via the company’s statement.

The launch of the new gas pipeline will ensure a stable supply of natural gas produced from wells at the Western Nizhny Surgil field to the Arslan complex gas treatment unit.

The Western Nizhny Surgil field is located in the Muynak region of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and was launched in 2021.

Previously, Uzbekneftegaz JSC will lay a new gas pipeline with a length of 48 km between the Somontepa and Tegirmon group of fields (Bukhara region).

As a result, gas production in these fields will be increased. The throughput capacity of the main gas pipelines from the fields of the Tegirmon group will be increased to 5 million cubic meters per day.
