Iranian FM spokeswoman: Iran makes no distinction among foreign embassies
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham said on Wednesday that the Islamic Republic of Iran never discriminate between the Tehran-based Embassies, IRNA reported.
The Islamic Republic of Iran honors the international commitments and the Vienna Conventions on consular and diplomatic relations has adopted a similar and unique conduct about foreign embassies in the country, she said.
There is no doubt that the Iranian foreign ministry will do its utmost to observe the Vienna Conventions about the diplomatic representations and consulates in Tehran.
She said that the Foreign Ministry expects the customs offices to apply indiscriminate procedure on entrance and transfer of parcels belonged to the diplomatic representations.
Refuting the interference of Iran in the interior affairs of other countries in the region, she said Iran's policy toward other countries is based on good neighborly spirit, non-interference, mutual respect and cooperation.
She said that alleged interference of Iran in the affairs of other countries is totally baseless.
Such allegations are totally fabricated and those who promote them are ill-wishers with regards to regional relations and developments, Afkham said.
