Questioning of former Prime Minister of Georgia, now Secretary General of the United National Movement Vano Merabishvili in the building of the Ministry of Interior continued for five hours.

Merabishvili said after questioning that he is proud that today, "the police sit in warm offices, in a good uniforms, which wasn't so until he had once headed the Interior Ministry."

"All my friends who will not be arrested or are under interrogation will criticize this government, if they do not keep their promises," Merabishvili said, without giving details of interrogation.

The lawyer of former Prime Minister Mamuka Chabashvili said his client was questioned as a witness in the case of a false passport.

The campaign was carried out in front of the Interior Ministry during the interrogation. The representatives of the United National Movement, as well as ordinary citizens participated in the campaign. They claimed that the man, whose name is associated with the establishment of order, safety and crime reducing shouldn't be persecuted on such a ludicrous accusation.

Merabishvili is accused of using false passport. MIA accuses him of that he tried to leave the country with a false passport when he traveled with the delegation headed by the President of Georgia to the congress of the European People's Party in Yerevan on November 30. Interior Ministry blames Merabishvili in unwillingness to cooperate with the investigation.
