Georgia sees decrease in COVID-19 cases

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21

Georgia has reported 260 new cases of coronavirus, 834 recoveries and 15 deaths in the past 24 hours, Trend reports via Georgian media.

Some 11,059 tests were conducted around the country in the past 24 hours, 5,205 of the 11,059 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 5,854 were PCR tests.

The newcases were recorded in:

Tbilisi - 166 cases

Adjara - 18 cases

Imereti - 17 cases

Kvemo Kartli - 14 cases

Shida Kartli - 9 cases

Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti - 7 cases

Kakheti - 16 cases

Mtskheta-Mtianeti - 5 cases

Samtskhe-Javakheti - 7 cases

Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti -1 case

The country has had 359,141 cases of coronavirus since February 26, 2020.

Some 2.45 percent of tested individuals had COVID-19 in the past 14 days.

Some 345,582 of the 359,141 patients have recovered, while 5,175 have died from the virus.
