Gang of Pakistani Taliban arrested in Afghanistan

Afghanistan, Kabul, Jan. 27 / Trend , A. Hakimi/ Security officials in Nemroz province inform that 16 Pakistani Taliban and one Afghan were arrested in the same province.

According to the officials this operation was launched yesterday.

Police says that they were attacked several times by this gang.

Abdul Jabbar Pordeel, chief of police told reporters that the gang is related to Taliban, which engaged police in north of Chakhansoor district in this province.

Some considerable armaments were also recovered in this operation, he added.

Gholam Dasgeer Azad, Nemroze governor told media that this armed gang belongs to a famous commander of Taliban in Helmand province, who plans terrorist attacks on Neroze province, but he didn't tell the name of the commander.

It is the first time that a group of 16 insurgents with Pakistan nationality have been arrested in Afghanistan.
