An earthquake of 5.5 magnitude struck Romania's Black Sea area, bordering with Bulgaria, on Wednesday morning, according to the Earth Physics Institute, Xinhua reported.
The earthquake, which hit at a depth of 20 kilometers, was mainly felt in its central area -- southeastern Romania, said Mircea Radulian, scientific director of the institute, specifying that this was an earthquake close to the surface.
According to Romania's General Inspectorate for Emergencies, no victims or damages were reported after the earthquake.
