Baku, Azerbaijan, Oct.3
Turkey will not hesitate a single minute to defend its territory located in Syria, Anadolu agency quoted Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as saying on Oct.3.
Erdogan said the Suleyman Shah Tomb is the only Turkish territory located abroad.
"One of the strongest armies in the world is there to protect this territory and in the case of necessity, it will be able to assist the servicemen guarding this tomb in the shortest possible time."
The Suleyman Shah Tomb and its surroundings is the Turkish enclave in the Syrian territory, where it is guarded by Turkish servicemen.
Some Turkish media outlets earlier reported that currently, the militants of the 'Islamic State' have taken the control of the village where the tomb is located.
The terrorist organization known as the 'Islamic State' (IS, formerly ISIL or ISIS) was created in 2003 in Iraq. Between 2004 and 2006, the organization was led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, and consisted of 11 radical Islamist groups, which had close ties to the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda.
