A newly appointed Ambassador of Poland to Azerbaijan will arrive in Baku on 15 August, the Polish Embassy in Azerbaijan told Trend.
A new Polish Ambassador to Azerbaijan is Kshishtof Kraevski. Prior to his appointment to Azerbaijan he worked at the Foreign Ministry of Poland. Azerbaijan is the first country for him to work as Ambassador.
Before his appointment, the post of the Polish Ambassador had been occupied by Martin Navrot. Having completed his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan he returned home on 28 June. Navrot is a career diplomat.
He headed the diplomatic mission of Poland in Azerbaijan since 2001 and was the first Polish Ambassador in Azerbaijan. The diplomatic mission functioning in Baku since 1998 was headed at the level of the charge d’affaires.
The Embassy of Azerbaijan to Poland was opened last year, it is headed by the former Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Vilayat Guliyev.
