Astana, Kazakhstan, Oct.4
By Daniyar Mukhtarov - Trend:
Kazakh "Bek Air" airlines plan to implement the first flight on the route Astana - Ust-Kamenogorsk - Bayan Ulgiy (Mongolia) Oct.4, the press service of the Ministry of Innovation Development of Kazakhstan reported Oct.3.
"At the initial stage the flight will be performed once a week. With increasing flow of passenger and cargo the flight frequency will be increased," said the ministry.
It should be noted that the new flight was provided by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the aeronautical authorities of Kazakhstan and Mongolia.
"We have been negotiating over the past two years so that Kazakhstan and Mongolia, where a large Kazakh diaspora lives, would be bound by direct air communication," the deputy chairman of the MID Civil Aviation Talgat Lastaev said.
"In May this year, a memorandum was signed. We are very pleased that this initiative found its response from Kazakh airlines, particularly from "Bek Air"," he said. "Now the airline finally got permission to fly from the aviation authorities of Mongolia and will make its first flight in Bayan Ulgiy on October 4."
