An Iranian parliamentary delegation has visited Japan to discuss cooperation in social issues, the parliament's official ICANA news agency reported Dec. 20.

The Iranian delegation which includes members of the parliament's Social Commission is scheduled to hold talks with senior Japanese officials and visit the country's educational and research centers.

The sides will exchange experiences and information about various social issues including natural disasters and workforce training.

Officials from the two countries held the 10th round of human rights dialogue meetings on December 17-18 in Tokyo.

A delegation led by Foreign Ministry's Director General for Human Rights and Women's Affairs, Mansoureh Sharifi Sadr took part in the dialogue.

A team of Iranian judiciary experts also accompanied her in the talks.

During the sessions, the two sides discussed such topics as protection of human rights in both countries, as well as in the whole world.
