Search operations at the site where a military helicopter recently crashed near Baku are nearing completion, Trend correspondent reported from the scene.

He said rescuers pulled out all the parts belonging to the crashed helicopter. The bodies of the crew members were also recovered from water.

Earlier dead body of Yashar Mammadov, the third crew member of the military helicopter that crashed near Baku on Monday was found on the scene of crash. The other bodies of the remaining two crew members, lieutenants Bahruz Zeynalov and Rustam Rustamov were found yesterday.

A helicopter belonging to Azerbaijani Air Force disappeared from radar on Monday at 10.30 and crashed near the beach at Shikhov, the Defence Ministry said.

According to preliminary data, the crash was due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

The modernisation of the Mi-8 helicopter which ceased production in 1980, led to the creation of an improved version, the Mi-8MT (designation Mi-17 is for export). The Mi-17 was fitted with 2 TV3-117 engines. The number of crew members on board is three and passenger seating for 24.
