Turkey will continue to buy gas from Iran, even if international sanctions are imposed on it, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said at a press conference in Istanbul on Monday, Interfax reports.
Iran accounted for one-fifth of gas imports into the country in 2011- 8.4 billion cubic meters of Iranian gas was bought, 23.5 billion cubic meters was delivered by Gazprom, 3.8 billion cubic meters - Azerbaijan, 6.2 billion cubic meters were purchased in the LNG market, BP reported.
