The use of limited military force in Syria will cost the U.S. budget tens of millions of dollars, the head of the Pentagon Chuck Hagel said on Wednesday, ITAR-TASS reported.
Together with Secretary of State John Kerry and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of U.S. armed forces General Martin Dempsey, he spoke at a hearing of the Committee on foreign affairs of the House of Representatives.
"We have prepared a variety of assessments, depending on the course of action that will be selected by the president," - said the Secretary of Defense.
According to Hagel, the cost of the operation will be in the range of tens of millions of dollars.
