The EU hopes to expand its projects in Azerbaijani cities, Head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko said at an event within the Mayors for Economic Growth Facility program, Trend reports.

“We look forward to expanding the EU’s participation in ensuring the inclusive and economic development of the Azerbaijani cities,” Michalko added.

The head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan stressed that the EU is already developing several projects in such Azerbaijani cities as Shaki, Lankaran and Astara.

“In general, the EU is developing its projects in 45 Azerbaijani settlements,” Michalko said.

The head of the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan expressed hope that the Azerbaijani cities will greatly benefit from the Mayors for Economic Growth Facility program.
