В"Steven Manns ideas are clear, namely, there will be no elections in Azerbaijan and Armenia in 2006. The situation opens opportunities for the sides to resolve difficult issuesВ", the US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Reno Harnish told journalists, Trend reports.

The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairman Steven Mann said, in case of non-solution of the Karabakh conflict in 2006, Рђrmenia and Azerbaijan face tragedy.

Making clear these thoughts, the US Ambassador noted, in case no result is achieved in the conflict settlement, there are some alternatives for the decision, one of which is the war. However, Harnish noted, the war will open the road for tragedies in the Caucasus region: В"I said many a time what tragedies may arise. One should keep in mind under what hard conditions internally displaced people live. Therefore, we urge politicians from the both sides to find the way out of the situation, the US Ambassador noted.

Voicing his attitude to the workshop organized by the OSCE Baku office over political parties funding the Ambassador said, no large funds are needed to give impetus to political parties development in Azerbaijan. In his view, one of the most important moments is ensuring freedom of assemblies for citizens and political forces.
