Georgian foreign ministry strongly condemns Venezuela's decision to recognize Abkhazia and South Ossetia
Georgia, Tbilisi, September 10 / Trend N. Kirtskhalia / Russia's buying recognition with money and weapons has not any connection with the choice of the Venezuelan people," mentioned in the statement by Georgian Foreign Ministry in response to the President of Venezuela's statement recognizing Georgia's separatist regions - Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
Georgian Foreign Ministry considers this statement as "very unfriendly". "Such a rough violation of norms and principles of international law is a counterproductive impact on Venezuela itself," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"We are confident that this decision of the dictator will be immediately withdrawn after the people of Venezuela elect a new leadership through fair and democratic elections," the document says.
The Georgian Foreign Ministry expresses regret that on the verge of poverty in Russia, the country is spending to meet the ephemeral whims of foreign policy, and states that the dictator of Venezuela received several million dollars and weapons for recognition.
