Azerbaijan, Turkey & Russia to hold joint trainings

The emergency situations agencies of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Russia plan to hold joint trainings, Kamaladdin Heydarov, the Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Minister, told journalists on Sept.18.

The emergency situations agencies of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Russia plan to hold joint trainings, Kamaladdin Heydarov, the Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Minister, told journalists on Sept.18. 

"We have agreed with the emergency situations agencies of Turkey and Russia to hold joint trainings. At present the issue is under discussions," the minister added.

Heydarov said that the date of the trainings will be determined after the talks.

The minister also appraised the "Caspian 2009" trainings held by the Emergency Situations Ministry in the Sabail district of Baku.

The oil industry developed in Azerbaijan and oil producing facilities are in the Sea. The purpose of the trainings was to check the preparedness level of the rescue operations in the tectonic time. Today, it was proved that we have made progress in elimination of the emergencies," the minister added.

On Sept.18, the Emergency Situations Ministry held "Caspian 2009" trainings in the Sabail district of Baku.

Today, on Sept. 18, Baku is hosting a conference of the heads of the emergency situations agencies of the Organization of Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).The conference of the heads of the BSEC has adopted a declaration.
