During his visit to Israel, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Diaspora of Azerbaijan Nazim Ibrahimov, on May 6 met with Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, reported in a press release of State Committee for Work with Diaspora.
Nazim Ibrahimov gave a detailed information about an economic development of Azerbaijan, ongoing reforms and strengthening positions of our country in the region and in the world. Chairman of the State Committee noted that friendly relations between the countries have entered a new era after the restoration of Azerbaijan's independence. N.Ibrahimov particularly marked the merits of National Leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev, due to whom relations between the countries reached a high level. He also noted that President Ilham Aliyev successfully continues the political course of National Leader.
Avigdor Lieberman agreed on the level of development of relations between the countries, highlighted the role of state leaders in expanding relations. The head of the international policies management of Israel highly appreciated the growing influence of Azerbaijan in the region and in the world.
During the conversation a wide exchange of views on the prospects of development in all fields between the two countries was held. For the development of friendly relations it was highlighted an importance of holding an international events and "round table" meetings with participation of diaspora organizations.
